Pre-covid, the Travel and Tourism sector accounted for around 11% GDP worldwide, with some Countries relying on tourism as their main source of income. With the pandemic, the sector has been highly affected and needs now to restart under a new light.
The need for a more sustainable way of living reflects as well on the way we travel, and technology plays an essential role in rebuilding a more conscious tourism. From biofuels and electric vehicles, to waste management, to the valorization of local production and culture, tourism is a driver for innovation in many other sectors.
