Company Overview:

Our mission is to bring equal educational opportunities for all. Key2enable empowers people with motor and cognitive disabilities to develop independence in an ever-evolving digital classroom. Our innovative tools provide digital accessibility, allowing students with severe disabilities to efficiently use computers and touch-based devices for communication, learning and engagement. Thus, allowing children with disabilities to live with greater autonomy. We aim to make more schools accessible with a simple user-friendly solution that will be easy for families, mainstream teachers and students of disabilities to engage with. Key2enable believes that Inclusion of people with disabilities can only be achieved through equal-valued partnerships and interdependence in the community. This is why through our solutions we want to bring all the MNCs together to help them understand the real positive growth and the impact of employing people with disabilities.

Why the company should be selected as SDG winner:

Key2enable strives to provide equal educational opportunities to the students with motor and cognitive disabilities who are largely neglected and denied access to quality education compared to their peers. By integrating assistive technology into mainstream classrooms we are providing an opportunity to children with disabilities to develop independence in ever-evolving digital classrooms. We are developing an early childhood assessment software with the Ministry of Education, UAE to help teachers in mainstream schools to assess children aged 2-6, who tend to show signs of cognitive differences in early childhood. For school going children aged between 5-14 years old, we are providing age-friendly awareness sessions to make children conscious of children with disabilities who have different abilities and to learn to appreciate these differences. For university going students, we have launched a leadership program that will train them to become future inclusion advocates. We believe true inclusion can be attained only by reducing inequalities in the community. To meet this SDG, we have curated special projects that aim to create inclusivity. One such initiative is the Key2innovate challenge. It aims to raise awareness & encourage inclusivity by facilitating a friendly competitive angle that brings together young learners with differences in ability and their peers. Another such initiative are our awareness programs. The sessions are conducted at mainstream schools to help them understand why a child with a disability should learn alongside his peers and at corporates to reduce inequalities at workplace, foster inclusion and contribute to economic growth. The Key-X devices are placed in 28 countries. As of 2022, approximately over 10,000 users are regularly using 2500 Key-X devices and over 13,000 users are using our educational platform ‘’Expressia’’inside schools, rehabilitation centres and homes, globally.

Company Overview:

Park4Dis® solves the overall picture about EU disability parking cards. From a social point of view, we provide inclusion and autonomy to a target of 15 million People with Reduced Mobility, more than 1 million only in Spain. From a business point of view, we provide B2G solutions and services to city councils, tourism boards and police departments and B2B ones to large shopping centres and airports. Park4Dis® offers mobility technology solutions aimed at supporting municipalities in the management of public spaces, improving the experience of PRM users and improving the environment in order to meet the SDGs of the 2030 Agenda. Park4Dis® was created as a system for locating parking spaces reserved for people with reduced mobility and other permitted parking spaces, following an EU recommendation from June 1998. In addition to promoting the inclusion and autonomy of this group in large cities and rural areas, Park4Dis® is presented as a unique and transversal platform, allowing the use of a single App in all the cities that have adhered to it. It’s an Accessible and interurban platform that shows PRM parking spots and other parking spaces allowed for people with reduced mobility and the specific regulations applying on each area. It also allows you to call the local police at the touch of a button, without leaving the App, or to send a message to report an incident (e.g., a parking space occupied by an unauthorised person). Park4dis® also offers a set of tools for assets management, PRM European cards, fraud fight and BI analysis for Public Administration, improving the experience of users with disabilities. In this context, our target is Mobility, Social and Police departments. With the increasing size and population of cities, sustainable mobility is one of the key problems we need to resolve: Park4Dis® helps to reduce the time driving, which means less CO2 emissions (cars produced around 60% of transport emissions in EU in 2016 ) and less traffic, which in time contributes to reducing traffic jams and driving-induced anger problems, aiming for a healthy coexistence. Impact generated We currently have +5,000 users on our website / app, +6,000 users on our social networks, +850 volunteers and +45,000 places mapped in more than 300 cities in ten European countries, mainly in Spain. • Greater autonomy of the group with reduced mobility • Greater empowerment of the collective • Sensitization of the population through conferences • Awareness of public administrations of the problem • Implementation of accessibility tools in cities • Promotion of accessible tourism Park4Dis® solution has received institutional support from all Spanish social entities (ONCE Foundation, Spanish Royal Board of Disability, CEAPAT/IMSERSO , CERMI and COCEMFE among others) and international ones (EDF, ESSL Foundation , Access Israel, Accessible Portugal, Fundación Descúbreme, among other), and the team is involved in several workgroups regarding accessibility, listening, debating and learning from a significative number of users. IT Academy STEP Cambodia

Website:

https://www.sistersofcode.org/

Company Overview:

IT Academy STEP Institute operates in Cambodia since 2015 and is focused on delivering tech-related and skills-focused training programs to support the digitalization of the economy in Cambodia. STEP Institute’s educational approach is innovative in the traditional educational system in Cambodia. It brings students an international quality education, engaging them in working on projects and developing the necessary skills to be successfully employed in the future. Our mission is to provide international quality education for in-demand skills to guarantee students’ success in tech. STEP Institute is a dynamic education provider, that works closely with the industry to make sure education is relevant and inclusive. Such an approach allows reaching 90% of graduates’ employment within 3 months of graduation.

Why the company should be selected as SDG winner:

Since the establishment of IT Academy STEP Cambodia, we have provided quality education to more than 1000 students in the various fields of technology. 90% of our graduates are successfully employed within 3 months of graduation and 100% of our students recommend STEP as the best place to get quality education in tech in Cambodia. Our work directly contributes to SDG4. At the same time, observing the under-representation of female students in Cambodia, joining tech, STEP created the first female coding club in 2015 “Sisters of Code”. This is a unique non-profit educational program, that gives never existed before the opportunity for girls to explore digital skills in a supportive and encouraging environment. According to the Ministry of Education in Cambodia data, only 10% of female students choose to study tech-related subjects. That leads to the fact that the field of tech is male-dominated. Thanks to the program, created by IT Academy STEP, we are directly contributing to SDG5. By growing talents in Cambodia and providing them with international quality skills, we are supporting SDG10, by reducing inequalities that are caused by low education and fewer employment opportunities in the digital economy age.

Wide Therapy

Website:

https://widetherapy.com/

Company Overview:

The greatest need for change is amongst individuals with special needs, and more so amongst young children with special needs. For them, every challenge overcome can be life changing. Behaviors like Potty training, cooperating with therapy, receiving medical treatment, or even going on family vacations, once learned, can set children on the course to independence. Wide is a digital software platform where children with special needs can see themselves performing challenging behaviors in a way that is fitted and understandable to them. By being able to see themselves on the platform, they can quickly learn a behavior and then adopt it in real life. Created by specialists in the field of Autism, Wide is a scientifically based, patent pending platform with clients like treatment centers and hospitals using Wide with an 8o% success rate. Our mission is to reach and help any child with any challenge, anywhere.

Why the company should be selected as SDG winner:

Wide has already transformed the lives of children with special needs and their families. Children as young as two years old with Autism, Intellectual disability and rehabilitation needs. A young girl, aged 2.5, in a children’s hospital had multiple leg surgery since her birth and although she could physically walk, for months she wouldn’t, crying and refusing with every try. Her inability to walk deeply affected her independence, she would hardly crawl and refuse to go anywhere. We gave Wide to her in the month of May 2022. On her tablet she could see herself succeed in the behavior that was now challenging for her in a way that was fitted and understandable to her. By the end of June she was running in the hospital corridors. Her staff called it a miracle. She is not alone. In the last year Wide has set children towards independence and well being, children who could not eat solid foods, and did so using Wide, Children who would not receive crucial medical treatments, and did so using Wide, children who had meltdowns and stopped, and we are just at the beginning. Our goal is to reach and help every child we possible can and enable them an equal opportunity to fulfillment and independence.
